 | Leags and ladder : My how time flies? |  |  | |
|
So lets see here, what has happened in the last 2 years? A lot. Not just for me but for Nuke Ladder - Extreme Tournament System.
Well exactly what has happened to XTS? Well for one it's no longer in beta at all. A final version has been released with a good 99.999999....% of the bugs fixed. Yea I know I probably missed something some where, but hopefully not! I took the system from it's last stable release, which honestly should never have been a stable release. I proceeded to then break it some more by redoing the entire database as well as rewriting a good 60% of the code, and adding in a few features that I knew were lacking.
Such as:
* A Challenge message system
* A personalized profile for players
* A non-coding way to edit the system configuration file
* More administrator option
* Moderator options(Yea they were there before but I feel I broke them so badly with the last release I had to mention them again)
* A More customizable mod system so more event types can be added (and I am working on a few right now)
* Now requires PHP - 5, and MySQL 5.x.x to work
* Support for many more CMS systems including: DragonFly, PHP Fusion, Raven Nuke, Php-Nuke Clan(PNC), e107, PHP-Nuke, and Nuke Evolution Extreme.
I can't take 100% of the credit for this. Yes I wrote the code, yes I tested, broke stuff, and tested again, but it was many of the users whom truly helped me. Showed me bugs and problems and really helped me evolve XTS to what it is today. I do have to thank those users, all of you for your time and effort to help make this what it is today!
You are probably wondering, where can I get this latest version? Well right here on the forums or on SourceForge.net by clicking HERE. Now if your wondering whats in store for the future? Well, I can't quite tell you that. I know the direction I am headed and what I want to do. How much I'll get done in the next year or two really is a mystery. So for now I'm just going to say I will be continuing to build this system, make it better with every release. Beta versions, when they are out will still be available here. But the final releases will be available at source forge, not that I won't link them here, I just won't host them here. And of course support will still remain here.
If there are php coders out there, with knowledge of css and javascript whom want to help out with this system, let me know, I'm not going to have a huge amount of people, but maybe one or two. I am still in the stages right now of mapping out where I want to go next so I feel right now is the best time to put that out there. Just shoot me a pm or an email with a basic resume, and maybe some of what you've done before. (If you've got zero experience, that's ok too.)

 | Nuke-Evolution : Holy cow it's been a year! |  |  | |

It's been 1 year since I opened my doors. A little website with nothing special to offer except a hacked up, fixed version of Nuke Ladder/Kompete. A lot has happened in this yea, I have released several beta versions and a new stable release and while it may look the same on the surface it's nothing like what it once was under the hood.
Now as you all should be aware I have been very busy with school, and I am proud to say that my senior project is going well, in fact so well that I hope to post more about it soon (or even code if our sponsor does what they said they would do!) What is this project, well it's a way for corporations to save big bucks on power by shutting down their computers at night, but still having them accessible from home!!! Not going to say much more as I would rather wait to see what our sponsor does with our code.
Expect to see the next version of Nuke Ladder - Extreme Tournament System out soon, and the preview on Extremetournamentsystem.com soon. Also expect to see a new template on the website, I am finally tired of seeing flash mess up every time I load a page
